Richard Carpenter - Time

Richard released this CD in 1987 and it was, of course, produced and arranged by Richard himself. He does most of the lead vocals and all of the background vocals. There are some guest vocalists like Dusty Springfield, Dionne Warwick and Scott Grimes and Herb Alpert plays solo trumpet on "When Time Was all We Had" which is a tribute to Richard's late sister, Karen Carpenter. I especially love the last track "I'm Still Not Over You". This is a great CD!!! Track 6 was co-written by Richard and Richard Marx. Here is the download link: http://sharebee.com/3eb5f3ba

Apparently the sharebee file link is dead, so here is the new link as of 1/16/10: http://www.multiupload.com/94C0SRI9S1

Scorpions - When You Came into My Life CD single

In 1997, the rock group, the Scorpions, asked David Foster to produce and arrange a new version of their song "When You Came into My Life". It was available on this CD single and was only released in Japan. Here is the download link: http://sharebee.com/a014d8c4

Tatsuro-Songs from L.A. - Various Artists

This one was requested on the "Late for the Sky" blog. So here it is. The Japanese people really love our American singers like Bill Champlin, Joseph Williams, Tom Keane, etc. so there are a lot of these Japanese compilation CDs out there. And lets face it, if it weren't for the Japanese record labels a lot of these great artists would have no outlet to release new albums and re-issue older albums never released on CD here in the U.S. ( like Bill Champlin's Runaway CD). I have a lot of these compilation CDs. Most of these are L.A. artists singing English versions of Japanese hits. Most of them are recorded in L.A. and feature top notch musicians such as Michael Thompson, John Robinson, Nathan East, Mike Landau and more. Here is the download link:

Deborah Allen - Telepathy

This is Deborah Allen's best album in my opinion. Released in 1987, it is true straight ahead pop music. Produced by Greg Mathieson this is a must have if you like great melodic music. The title track was produced and written by "Joey Coco" which was a pseudonym for Prince who wrote the song especially for Deborah. I ripped this from vinyl LP. Unfortunately this one was never released on CD. "Take a Picture" is one of the most haunting ballads I have ever heard and is in my top 40 of favorite songs of all time.
