Fans of Marilyn Scott and Wendy Moten's "Time for Change" CD will love this one. Released in 1992, only in Japan, the former lead vocalist for Seawind really shines on this solo effort. Carlos Vega plays drums on most of the tracks and Abraham Laboriel plays bass on most tracks. Take a chance on this one and give a listen. You won't regret it. very nice. I always liked seawind and meant to get this one for a long time. Now (because I have liked it) I just purchased the cd via ebay in the official philippines pressing new sealed (often they seem to release otherwise "japan only" discs it seems, sometimes a year later than the japan issue). It is a reasonable $9.99 and $3.00 postage. Why not grab it in real cd as according to listing the quantity available is still at 8 and the seller is nice good seller cause I bought several items from them before. Doubt theyll be around too long. Anyway. Listening away here. Cheers. By the way. I have another japan "TV theme" disc called "We will meet again. TBS TV Theme evergreen (english) vocal version". It was made by a kind friend in germany direct from the real cd as a surprize when he sent me other things. He even made the covers!. A true saint. It has a song called "almost paradise" which is what I remember best now and also some other good stuff. Let me know if you want a post, though Im sure you have it Dfosterfan. Otherwise I will post for anyone else too anyway. Thanking you
ReplyDeletewow, westcoast hungry. Well, that is what I am!! but I am ds825. I have too many google accounts
ReplyDeleteI recieved my CD of this that is currently being sold on ebay. Very nice, except for maybe the front inlay.....which is only a single sheet...literally....NOTHINGexcept the front cover picture- that is all it is. It seems to be authentic item though. Disc is very nice. No CDR!, and I guess you do not expect the same quality as Japan when you buy other country cds, except maybe germany and old uk. Everything else is lovely, including the disc which seems to be a nice sounding older generation cd (does anyone else notice how, not digital sound itself, but the actual cd discs used to be a better quality and sound more "majestic" for want of the correct word!). Release date seems to be 92, but I also since noticed that there was a 1994 usa issue of this album on the label "noteworthy" and it is currently available at Paulines website for $12.95 along with her other album "Tribute" (any good?) so maybe if anybody reading this wants the real cd and cant find it on ebay anymore this is the way to go. Otherwise, if you dont mind the lack of lyrics (or anything except a single sheet) for the front cover, the rest of the cd from philippines is beautiful if you have a chance to get it. Nice album man! Cheers
