Paul Anka - Somebody Loves You

Someone on the "Late for the Sky" blogspot requested this one. This album is in my top 20 all-time favorites list. Released in 1989 this CD was only available in Europe and I believe only in Germany. I'm not 100% sure on that, but I think it is correct. This CD is pure pop heaven with great lush arrangements. It was produced by Humberto Gatica and Robbie Buchannan and most importantly, David Foster produced Track 10 "Stay With Me". I can't say enough good things about this CD. If you don't have this one in your collection then you are missing out. No David Foster collection is complete without it for sure. Dionne Warwick duets on "You and I". Here is the download link:

Please note: the download link has been removed at the request of the publisher on 4/13/2010.

  2. Hey DavidFosterFan

I'm sorry if I come accross as taking the p*ss. But is there any chance of getting this rip at 320kbps? This is an album I've been after for many years and have never seen it aside from a lone LP on ebay!

I'll be more than happy to return the favor with something from my collection!!

I apologize once again, but you don't ask, you don't get right?

Ps, superb blog man, something always comes up that I've been searching for for ages!!

  7. Hi DFF, great album! Thanks for sharing!
It reminds me of 1983 "Walk a fine line" Everything with fender rhodes, "Fosterish" and "Buchannanish" is highly apreciated. I didn´t know about some of the cd´s you´ve posted though I´ve spent decades compilating David´s music.
I was wondering if someone have a rare cd: "Randy Goodrum - Solitary Nights" I held it in my hands long time ago, but I only had money enough for the vinyl copy. More requests (I even don´t know if they´re available):
    - "Fresh horses" soundtrack (David Foster and Patrick Leonard)
    - "Golden Fiddles" soundtrack,
    - "One good cop" soundtrack.
Obviously, I´m talking about scores, although the end songs are also gems.
There´s the "Rechordings - Movie montage", but Do those scores exist?
    Thanks in advance.
For if someone was searching for, her´s the link to a ultra rare cd only available in Sweden I think. It´s a cd out of a vinyl record (That´s the way they did it)

  13. This is easily one of the best 'serious' music blogs on the entire internet.

Remarkable that such good quality music can often only be obtained in this way, and yet the retarded Music Industry *still* tries to charge far too much for modern pop, rap and other crap!

  14. Did anyone have the credits for this album? The toto99.com website says Jeff Porcaro plays drums on all tracks, but I own this album and there´s not a single mention of any participant on this album. There is not even said that Dionne Warwick sings the duet. Well you can hear that it´s her...
